PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD)
FOR STAFF & PRACTITIONERS
Following a recent programme of Secondary SMEP meetings with the Peterborough Music Hub, a number of recommendations have been made from schools/academies for training opportunities and further support. One of the areas identified was a desire for staff training in relation to the use of recording studios, leading to improvements in the effective use of this equipment within schools/academies. As a result, Peterborough Music Hub is offering a free CPD opportunity, delivered by Beat This C.I.C – local specialists in recording and Music Technology provision.
The training programme - entitled Re-chord - will provide schools/academies with professional support to increase skills within music technology, building confidence and working methods in this area, for use in lessons and extra-curricular activities. The workshops will focus on music technology’s ability to assist with the demands of the curriculum as well as wider in-house opportunities. If your facility has access to a recording studio, or music technology suite, that is currently underutilised, then the Re-chord training programme aims to help make greater use of these assets for you and your students.
"We believe that the proposed programme will increase music technology effectiveness and results across all music classes and further develop student skills."
